Crossroads Africa

Details about me: I am 26, married for 4 years to Hans, no kids, one cute dog we treat like a kid…. (which we said we would never do), and I dissect surgery specimens by day.
What is your testimony? I accepted Christ before I can even remember, and was in the church even before that. I felt called to missions during high school, and prayed that God would show me where he would have me serve Him. I traveled overseas on mission trips to different countries for months at a time, trying to determine which place was God’s will for me. But, when none of the countries were what God had in mind, he finally showed me my specific place in missions- to help lead, train, and plan overseas short term mission trips.  And I LOVE IT!
A verse, quote, or thought you tend to “live” by. One of my favorite passages is Psalm 96:1-10:

Sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD, all the earth. Sing to the LORD, praise his name; proclaim his salvation day after day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples. For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the nations are idols, but the LORD made the heavens. Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and glory are in his sanctuary. Ascribe to the LORD, O families of nations, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength. Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; bring an offering and come into his courts. Worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness; tremble before him, all the earth. Say among the nations, “The LORD reigns.” The world is firmly established, it cannot be moved; he will judge the peoples with equity.

What do your family/friends say about you? That I smile a lot. “The perpetual smile.” It won’t go away I tell you. And that my moles form the big dipper on my face.
What are things about you that most people don’t know? That I dissect people parts for a living.
Personality? ORGANIZED, clean, happy.

Have you lived in any unusual places? Not long term, but I have traveled to lots of countries and lived for several months at a time. Some include, India, South Africa, Botswana, Ecuador, Papua New Guinea….

Do you have any talents? Not really. I make greeting cards… is that a talent?

What is important to you? Learning about other cultures and being able to adapt to them is important to me, and very fun too.
What “irks” you? Bad drivers, tailgaters (ahem, Hans…)
