What is your God-story or testimony? I grew up in the church all of my life. I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior when I was six. It wasn’t until the summer before my senior year of highschool that I really learned what it meant to depend on God. Now I can’t imagine life any other way.
A verse, quote, or thought you tend to “live” by: “Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.” ~ Philippians 3:12 It’s one of those verses that you can’t really understand without the context. But Paul is writing about knowing Christ, both his resurrection and sufferings. This is verse is also followed my the famous “I press on toward the goal….” verse. TO ME, this verse reminds me of what my everyday life, as well as my longterm goal should be: “to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.” Why did Jesus take hold of me? To capture me in His amazing love as His child. Therefore I strive to daily serve him, worship him, and glorify him through everything I do. Which leads me to my favorite quote from my old youth pastor: “Live every moment, of every day, for HIM.”
And that’s your mini sermon of the day
What your family/friends say about you? What you see is what you get! I’m not afraid to be who I am.
What are things about you that most people don’t know? I might seem shy, but once you get to know me you won’t get me to shut up. I very rarely cry. I’m not emotional at all! I can be a girly girl, but dislike the color pink!
Personality? Hmmm… quirky, random, sarcastic, happy, joyful, outgoing, fun-loving.
Have you lived in any unusual places? I went to Japan on an exchange when I was fifteen.
Do you have talents? Funny things about you? I love to play the piano. I also trained in ballet for 13 years so I love dancing.
Something you really want to do? Live and work in another country.
What is important to you? God, Family, Friends and chocolate.
What “irks” you? I really hate when the stem of the lettuce leaf is in a salad. My mom has tried to convince me it’s like celery (which I love), but I still won’t eat it. I know I’m weird.
Favorites: color? dessert? Favorite thing to do with your free time? book? movie? My favorite color is PURPLE! I love anything with chocolate. I love spending time with friends, especially heart -to-heart talks over a cup of coffee.
