Details about me:

Adam James Haynes, graduate of NNU 2006. I work at the Nampa Rec Center as the Outdoor Recreation Supervisor for The City of Nampa…I get paid to have fun! I love to see people enjoy the outdoors.

What is your God-story or testimony?

I grew up in the Church as my parents taught Sunday school. I accepted Christ into my heart at a young age. As I have grown up I have come to know what it really means to be a Christian. Being a Christian means putting yourself last and trusting in the Lord wholeheartedly.

One of my favorite quotes comes from the late Jerry Falwell. “Don’t tell God about the mountains in your life, tell the mountains about your God.”

Favorite verse: Isaiah 40:29-31

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

What your family/friends say about you?

My friends say I smell…I disagree!

What are things most people don’t know about you?

I was a little chubby in my younger years…and by a little I’m really mean a lot.

Personality?

I am a little competitive, sometime too competitive.

Any accomplishments you are proud of?

I went to the National Championships for Triathlon in 2006. I finished the Boise 70.3 Ironman in 2007. Member of FCA Endurance (Fellowship of Christian Athlete)

Something you really want to do?

Go to the Olympics…not as a spectator.

What is important to you?

Being a positive witness in all that I do.

Favorite thing to do with your free time?

I love to ride my bikes, play with my dog, and read when I go camping.

Favorite books:

Authentic Christianity, Ray C. Stedman and Tender Warrior, Stu Webber.
